This Guitar was designed for my own guitar collection, I wanted a PRS shaped guitar with a Tremolo system but wanted the Les Paul style angled neck, so i opted for the scheller Les Paul tremolo allowing me to do the angled neck join, I also dislike the large neck heel that you get on a PRS, so i designed an ultra easy access neck join.
The colour finish was done 3 times until i was happy with my chosen colour, I finaly decided on the red and black dyed finish on the Quilted Maple top and black elsewhere. As you can see from the pictures this Guitar is truely beautiful.
Body - The body was constructed from 40mm African Mahogany with a 18mm Maple Top and finished with a AAAAA Grade Quilted Maple Veneer.
Neck - 25" scale set neck constructed from 2 piece Flamed Maple with 22 frets on a Cocobolo Rosewood fingerboard.
Inlays - Gold Mother Of Pearl PRS Birds with Madagascan Rosewood centres, Dot markers are also Gold M-O-P.
Hardware - All hardware was Scheller consisting of locking keys, strap buttons and also Schellers Les Paul Tremolo.
Electrics - 1 volume, 1 tone and a 3 way toggle switch.
Pickups - Seymour Duncan Mayhem Humbucking Set.
Finish - Top was stained to enhance grain then finished with Nitro-Celluose Gloss Laquar.
